Autumn News

In the space of a week the season has turned from Summer to Autumn!

The summer has flown by. We hope you have enjoyed meeting Vicki, Alison and Beth, the locum vets who have enabled us all to take a few weeks off.

Patrick and Nancy had a great adventure in Peru, and both survived a couple of hair-raising tropical storms, a night time visit from a Scorpion and a too close brush with a Hornet's nest. They also had the fantastic opportunity to experience the incredible biodiversity of the Amazon Rainforest. They will more than happy to tell you more when you next visit the surgery.

Closer to home, we celebrated the 18th Birthday of Tiggi the Lurcher, one of our oldest patients who has been coming to the surgery since she was a very small Pup.

Both our nurses are preparing for sporting challenges in order to raise money for good causes. Sarah will be running 100 miles in September and hopes to raise £400 for Cancer Research UK whilst Amber is completing a super tough Hyrox challenge to raise money for the Cambridge and District branch of the RSPCA. Links below should you wish to donate to either challenge;

We have been busy working on our new website. We hope you enjoy browsing the site and welcome any feedback. We have added a new section called 'Gone but not Forgotten' to celebrate all the lovely pets who are sadly no longer with us. If you would like to send us a photo we would be very happy to include it.

The weather may be getting colder,  but it's still important to keep up to date with parasite prevention. We tend to associate flea problems with the warmer months, but we often notice a late surge when the heating is turned on and any dormant eggs hidden in the home hatch out. If you need to order any medication or ask for advice about the best treatments for your pets please do get in touch.

Wishing you all the very best,

Patrick, Harriet and all the Clarendon Street team.
